A 6-CE HOUR ON DEMAND SUPERVISION WORKSHOP!

Bridging Heart and Practice: Enhancing Clinical Supervision Skills ONLINE

Clinical supervision resides at the intersection of professional development and interpersonal growth. This intensive 6-hour training offers a unique approach to supervision that balances technical expertise with emotional intelligence, preparing both new and experienced clinical supervisors to create relational, transformative learning environments with their supervisees.

Join Sarah Buino and Sarah Suzuki to explore the role of clinical supervision through an innovative framework that integrates practical skills with heart-centered leadership. Through interactive exercises, case studies, and guided reflection, supervisors will develop the confidence and competence to navigate complex supervisory relationships while fostering growth in clinical practice.

Throughout this dynamic training, participants engage in experiential learning through role-play scenarios and case discussions, while reflective exercises help bridge theory with personal practice. The workshop features interactive activities designed to build practical supervision skills, complemented by valuable opportunities for peer learning and professional networking. All participants will receive a comprehensive resource package to support their ongoing development as supervisors.

Together we will…

  • Apply at least three foundational supervision principles to develop an individualized leadership framework for clinical supervision

  • Demonstrate the RUPI feedback model through role-play scenarios to deliver constructive feedback in challenging supervisory situations

  • Analyze power dynamics in supervisory relationships using case studies to identify at least two strategies for maintaining ethical boundaries

  • Design a structured evaluation process that incorporates both performance metrics and professional development goals

  • Implement three specific strategies for managing ethical challenges in supervision settings

  • Create an action plan that integrates clinical supervision best practices with specific workplace requirements

  • In the face of a global metacrisis, therapists stand at the crossroads of legacy and innovation. Climate change, racial injustice, economic instability, systemic violence, and other unprecedented challenges demand both resilience and transformation. What does it take for therapists to thrive and lead in these uncertain times?

This experiential workshop offers a survival toolkit tailored to today’s realities, blending the micro tools of personal resilience with macro frameworks for systemic change. By exploring the interplay between self-care, professional boundaries, and societal impact, participants will uncover strategies to stay grounded while fostering progress.

Together, we’ll navigate concepts like pathological empathy and its impact on practice, reframe self-care as a complex and dynamic process, and apply developmental theories to real-world challenges. • We are called to the helping profession due to our own experience with addiction, trauma, and other difficult life circumstances. In this field, we are encouraged to practice self-care, but not often encouraged to take a deeper look at what comprises “wellness” and what gets in the way. Now more than ever, we must investigate our own wellness so we can continue to support our clients. Professionals are expected to know the latest evidenced-based tools to support clients, but are we practicing what we preach? This is not a fluffy self-care seminar, but rather a call to action designed to challenge participants to step into their own healing with courage. In order to thrive in this field, it's crucial we shine a light on what really matters when it comes to caring for ourselves and the barriers that get in the way of being our best selves. This seminar will invite participants to reflect on their own self-care, their relationship to the larger socio-political landscape, and how each of these areas impacts client outcomes.

  • In the midst of global uncertainty, psychotherapy must evolve—not by adding more tools, but by unlearning what no longer serves us. This experiential seminar invites clinicians to release performance, objectivity, and the pressure to fix, making room for relational presence, embodied awareness, and radical not-knowing. Grounded in developmental psychology, somatics, cultural awareness, and consciousness studies, we’ll explore what it means to practice with integrity in a world unraveling. This isn’t about doing more, it’s about becoming more fully human in our work and evolving alongside our clients.
